Photoshop Elements Actions

Finally getting back to creating a new post. Had to get a new computer and then it took several days to get everything reinstalled and organized. Also had to learn Windows 8.1, which actually I like.

This post features PanosFX actions which I use in Photoshop Elements. Some are free and others I've purchased. They are also available for Photoshop. Each action also has a variety of features.

Here are three of the actions.

Newly updated Page Curl

Cube

Puzzle (9 pieces)

It is so much fun to add variety to a photo by using special actions.Check it out and enjoy!

Magnolia Surprise

With camera in hand, I set out to Cracker Barrel to take pictures of the blooming Magnolia trees. You will be surprised at what I got and how I transformed it into something new.

Original

1. The first thing I did was extract the flower from the background. Used Photoshop Elements (my favorite software).
2. Then I added two textures--thanks to Kerstin Frank and Liz West on Flickr.
3. Blended them together with the soft light blending mode and lowered the opacity to 58%.

Now See

Continued the process several weeks later.
1. Added an overlay from Shadowhouse Creations' Scratch & Frame Box Set
2. Final touch was topography from Scrapbook Graphics.

Real? or Artificial?

This photo was actually taken at Hillerman's Nursery in Washington, MO.
As you can see, these mushrooms are lawn ornaments.

Before

After

Some of the steps involved:
1. In Photoshop Elements, cropped and used Gaussian blur filter on the background.
2. Added several textures and blend modes.
3. Saved and opened it in OnOne Effects to add scratches and other effects.

Quite a difference! Just takes time and a fair amount of experimenting,
but lots of fun learning new things.

Seeds of Hope

When the world says, "Give up,"
HOPE whispers,
"Try it one more time."
--Unknown

Without hope, life becomes futile..And HOPE comes freely from the hand of God.
We only need to accept and partake of what He offers.

Grunge Art

I have started experimenting with using digital scrapbooking materials i a creative way. Here is my first creation. Hope to do many more and to focus on a specific theme each time. As you can probably guess, the first theme is ART.
