Crackle
It is easy to get a crackled effect if you have the right action. Panosfx has a variety of actions for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. Many of them are free. Try the "Cracked Fresco" action and be amazed.



Watercolor Effect
Want to make things look like a watercolor painting. 
Here is an easy way to do that 
in Photoshop or Elements.

• Open picture
• Duplicate (CTRL + j)
• On duplicate layer--Filter--Blur--Smart Blur--Quality (Medium)--Mode (Edge Only)--adjust sliders for Radius & Threshold
• Add layer mask & paint with black to reveal underneath painting
• Paint with white around the edges to soften effect (make sure opacity is less than 100%) or add a border
